How to get your artistic portfolio (press kit) made using Shastic.com: Part 1
This tutorial focuses on creating a basic artistic portfolio with real-life media samples of performances, an artistic statement, a bios and relevant background information, in order to showcase your skills and the aesthetics of your talent in an entertaining, yet professional way.

Final Portfolio Preview
Take a look at the portfolio we'll be creating. You can view the final portfolio preview below or go to it on its main location within Shastic here.
Step One: Create an Account
Go to www.shastic.com and click on "Create an Express Portfolio".

Fill in the blanks with your info. Don't forget to select an image from your computer to be your headshot and to set the art, genre, and sub-genre.

Also don't forget to complete the security box (captcha).

Step Two: Complete your portfolio
Click on the pencil button to edit your portfolio and add valuable artistic information, so that your portfolio is complete and clear about the services you offer.
Notice that at this point your portfolio will be published, this means it will be available for everybody; we´ll review how to change this setting on our next tutorial.

Step Three: Artistic Statement
Fill in your artistic statement. The artistic statement is an impact line to attract visitors to your portfolio, so it's a description of yourself as an artist.

Remember to click "Update Portfolio".

Step Four: Your Bio
In this step type in your Biography.

Remember to click "Save Changes".

Step Five: The Portfolio's Soul
Now comes the fun part. In this step upload your photos, videos and audio to your portfolio. You can do this by clicking on the create buttons.

To add a photo, first select a photo file from your computer, then fill in the photo info like name, author and description. Finally click save and wait for the photo to be uploaded.

For the audio follow the same steps, select an audio file, then fill in the info and click save to upload. The audio file will take a bit longer to upload.

For the video it’s a little different. First fill in the info and then click save. You'll have a chance to upload your file next.

The following should appear, now select a video file from your computer and click "Upload".

At this point your video will be uploaded. This process takes some time depending on how big your video file is. At the end you should see a message saying that your video has been uploaded and will appear in the 'Stage' section after it has been encoded.

Congratulations!
You now have an artistic portfolio. Click on preview and check it out!
